inside_out_website_photo_3.jpg We believe that:

Art
All human beings have an artistic capability to create and exhibit/perform original forms of art.

Creative expression is a human need and opportunities to create should be available to all

Art is a powerful tool that can be an agent for social change on both an individual and community level

Participating in artistic and creative workshops has healing benefits and promotes positive growth on an individual level.

Community
Communities heal and thrive by integration rather than isolation

Community collaboration between individuals and organizations is imperative to an overall movement for social change

Communities find power through outlets for art, expression and dialogue

Incarceration/Community Healing/Safety
When a member of our society is incarcerated it affects every member of society

A holistic approach to issues around incarceration increases positive change in individuals, families, and the community at large. This holistic approach combines prevention, intervention and after-care strategies to achieve this positive growth.

The United States of America has a disproportionate rate of incarcerated minorities.

The United States of America has enough resources todramatically decrease it's population of incarcerated people (currently over two million.)
