RECAP: A VISION OF TRUE JUSTICE
"Youth don't need prisons, they need their natural environment which is family, nature and freedom."
- Adan Abdi
Last Wednesday, MIO artists shared their artistic visions of true justice, often accompanied on screen by their family and children. Following the performances, Skye Gosselin of Maine Youth Justice shared opportunities for ACTION towards justice in Maine. We are visioning and building true justice together through art, dialogue, community and action. Thank you for joining us.

RESPOND
At MIO, we use art as a tool for dialogue and action towards social change. Our work is not complete until it is heard and responded to. We asked everyone who signed up to attend the virtual open mic, "what does a vision of true justice mean to you?" and received incredible responses from our community.
WATCH A VIDEO OF THE RESPONSES
Thank you to everyone who responded and to MIO's Finance & Administration Manager Morgan Kesseli for creating the video!
For everyone who attended "A Vision of True Justice" or who watched the recording, we would love to hear your response to the event. "What vision of true justice did you hear, see or witness at the event?" and "What is one action you will take to achieve true justice in your community?"
