Loyal To A Fault:

MIO’s Original Performance at Mountain View Correctional Facility

On November 3rd, MIO Mountain View artists premiered the original play Loyal to a Fault: The Real Picture. This heart-forward performance focused on themes of loyalty and friendship and how the system separates loved ones from one another. The group performed the play twice, once for an “inside” audience of fellow incarcerated people and staff. In the afternoon, the group welcomed in an audience of family, community members and friends. Following each performance, the group engaged the audience in lively reflection and dialogue about the themes presented in the play.

Transformations:

MIO’s October Open Mic at Afrotaste, Lewiston

This was a beautiful, powerfully moving event. I felt very honored to be there. Transformative indeed! Much gratitude.

The feeling of community was felt by everyone at Transformations, MIO’s October Open Mic. MIO Artists from all over the state joined to share their art. The Afro Taste Restro on Main Street in Lewiston served as host, and we are honored to call them partners. Stay Tuned for details on December's Open Mic: Art for Healing.
